How do you improve your relationship with food?

Did you know that one state currently has a history-making majority female state assembly? And that North Carolina’s governor is doing some pretty great things for women? And that Countess Luann has a cabaret show?

It’s all on the docket today, and then we’re talking about our relationships with food and alcohol. Are they healthy? Are we happy? We asked you to weigh in, and we’re breaking it all down PLUS one of us is getting insulted, pretty regularly, by the other. We’ll let you figure out which is which.

Hannah was talking about a few IG accounts for that push body positivity. What are they?

The elephant in the ladies’ room

This week we’re getting our fix of the Kardashians and Game of Thrones, as usual, but we wanted to get into a topic that’s so important to women and has been taking up a lot of our newsfeed lately: abortion.

This is a conversation we want to de-stigmatize, because both of us feel that it’s a bit taboo. And we both have some thoughts that we wanted to share, so we hope you’ll give it a listen.

What was that you were saying about the origins of the religious right and their stance on abortion?
Check out this Politico piece, and this is another good one from HuffPo.

R.I.P. to my hopes and dreams

Today we’re hitting on a couple of heavy topics before we talk about the Met Gala (we’re only over a week late), Kim K in Charlotte, and what we’ve been watching on TV (good AND bad. Looking at you, GoT.)

It sounded like a good idea to get your thoughts on things that weigh heavily on women, specifically, and you delivered! We’re bringing up some listener input today and we hope you feel seen, heard, and get a few laughs in along the way.

Ahh I don’t want Game of Thrones spoilers!
No worries! Just skip from around 25 minutes until 37 minutes. But come back later and listen in!

Women give each other the once-over

Taylor Swift’s new song has been out for over a week, and you KNOW we had to talk about it. Plus more hard-hitting celebrity and entertainment news, before we get into more thoughts on beauty standards and self-image this week.

You guys said that Allure magazine had a great timeline of hair removal?
Yep! Here’s the link, and here’s another good read. Check it out!

We’re All Very Normal

We’re going hard right out of the gate with Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, and other cool things women are doing, before getting into our topic of the day: what are your beauty standards? What will you do to change your body or appearance, and what won’t you do?

This is part 1 of a conversation about what it looks like to be our best selves (on the outside!)
